Please note that RTA obligates Singaporean Driving License holders to take a knowledge test in any of the registered driving school.
It is worth noting that driving license holders from the following countries are unable to exchange their driving licenses, hence they will have to take admission in the driving school:
Puerto Rico (USA)

• Guam island (USA)
• Liechtenstein island (Switzerland)
• Monaco island (France)

Documents needed to apply for Driving License:
In order to apply for obtaining Driving License through RTA, following documents must be submitted:- Original D/L (only RTA approved countries)
- Eye Test
- Original Valid EID (Emirates Id card)
- Legal translation of the driving license in other languages except English or Arabic
Step 1: Apply online
1. Visit this link: https://www.rta.ae/wps/portal/rta/ae/home/rta-services/service-details?serviceId=3704306 and click on ‘Apply Now’.2. Choose the country of your driving license
3. After that, enter the category of your license
4. Enter issue and expiry date of your license
5. Select (Yes or No) if the original license is in your possession.
6. Then, select your nationality.
7. Finally, indicate category of your license: Light vehicle automatic, Light vehicle manual, motorcycle or heavy vehicle.
8. RTA will then advise you to provide list of documents in order to apply for the license, in case you are qualified.
9. Click upon the Apply Now at the bottom of the page.
10. Enter the information about your Emirates ID card.
11. After that, mention all your personal information, like full name, cell phone number, DoB and complete address
12. Finally upload a clear scanned copy of your driving license along with the legal translation, if necessary.
13. After Submitting the application, you will be redirected to payment portal to pay the fees electronically through a debit/credit card. Finally, you will receive a reference number, which must be with you in order to complete remaining process.

After completing all the online procedures, getting an eye test done, you are good to take a token for your UAE driving license at the RTA customer happiness center.
